This week when I read James’ warning, I have to laugh.
Which warning? The one that says, “Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly” (James 3:1).
I’m laughing at my own expense, by the way. Because today, I’m interpreting James to mean, “Cause’ you might just become a walking illustration of your own sermon, tough guy.” Because I’m living my sermon this week. Every blessed word.
I’m learning a lot, which is awesome. Growing, even. But maybe it would be best not to preach on the virgin birth any time soon.
No, my wife and I are not expecting, so shut up and stop it with the eyebrow lifting.
