a bit about me
First, I’m all about God.
God is my life, my salvation, my inspiration and my reason for being. I’m the Father’s boy, a friend of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit’s partner and fixer-upper. Growing intimacy with God is the all-consuming passion of my life. I start each day making myself present to him and enjoying his presence in return.
I’m on a kingdom-come mission.
My life is about making the Father’s dreams come true—seeing his kingdom come and his will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Living in the gifts of the gospel, flowing with the Spirit, and making the Father smile is everything.
I’ve served as a youth leader, youth pastor, lead pastor, and church planter for nearly thirty-five years, dedicating my life to helping people love and trust Jesus.
I’m a creative explorer.
There’s nothing like exploring life’s frontiers and facing our fears as we fulfill God’s purposes for our lives. Human beings are designed to make the invisible visible, to translate spiritual things into physical form. As I give myself to the flow of the Holy Spirit, my creative juices flow. My heart isn’t happy unless I’m creating something!
I love life, family, and friends.
My wife, Shauna, is my life-long best friend and treasure. I adore my three adult kids and their amazing ‘others.’ I also love warm cinnamon buns and key-lime pie, and can’t wait to see what God does with me.
