God’s patience is almost unfathomable. This canyon, for instance. How long did it take to carve out it’s pristine depths so we could enjoy them? Thousands of years? And how quickly do we forget your promises, lose sight of the goal, lose focus on your process? A handful of minutes? Lord, you are so relentless in your pursuit of us, patient beyond description with the dark places in us that take a lifetime to erode into something glorious. So often, we are so shortsighted that we don’t see the progress you are making! Oh God, you are eternal, and we are amazed by you!
