Looky what I found at Toys ‘R Us… the best (and funniest) kids animated movie ever.
Have you seen it?
The dialogue is ridiculously clever, the animation was beautifully snarky (really, it was), and the voice-overs were spot on. At the end of the day, the movie gave us Kronk, who is, let’s be honest, one of the greatest animated characters ever brought to life. Patrick Warburton knocked that role out of the proverbial voiceover park.
Can you say, “Family Movie Night This Weekend?”
The plot, interestingly enough, mirrors a biblical story pretty closely.

Update: Kayla Sukkau wins with Nebuchadnezzar.
I’m not going to answer, because I googled it, hee hee. I haven’t gotten through the whole bible yet, but I really wanted to know!! I love discovering how most adaptations of stories or tales started with the bible 🙂
Love this movie, and now I’m going to go look up the story in ma bible! And maybe even watch this movie myself tonight 😀
Good luck everyone!
Myriah, you’re awesome. Love your heart.
I think it is closest to the story of King David. Once king, David thinks that he can everything that he wants, and most of the time he gets it. He is a good guy deep down, but he lets his greed and his lust get the better of him. Ultimately he learns a lot of humility through the whole issue with Bathsheba and has to come to the realization that God is the one that put him there, not David himself.
Oooh, nice analogy. Unfortunately, not the one I’m thinking of.
Sampson was a man with all the physical power and used that to obtain what he wanted…definitely not what the Lord wanted. In the end, after loosing his sight and subdued by the Philistines for years, he finally returned his sight on the Lord. Sad story but the Lord was working throughout.
Also a great guess. But no pinata.
The story of nebuchadnezzar in Daniel where he is humbled by God and lives for 7 years thinking he’s an animal until his sanity returns.
And we have a winner! Congrats!
Haha well I’m hoping four years of bible school will help me here, but I am going to go with the story of the talking donkey (I know kuzko is a llama) but after raking my brain this is the best I could come up with. Balaam disobeys the LORD and leaves with the princes of Moab, and so God uses the donkey to speak to Balaam.
I don’t know my best guess.
Nice try. 😉
De and I are at a pub and decided that the best match is when David returns to Jerusalem with the Ark and dances in the street. He’s the king getting his groove on, and if we assume it’s the first time he used those moves it’s the “Emporers New Groove”
Mmmm. Good one. But nope. Kayla Sukkau walks away with the prize for guessing Nebuchudnezzar, who went crazy and walked on all fours like a beast for seven years, lost his sanity, and got his kingdom back in the end when he came to his senses.
