God has been teaching me so much about his love.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave…”
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
A few weeks ago, as I was thinking about this, he spoke these words into my mind:
“My love wants to go where it isn’t.”
Did you catch that? His love wants to go where it isn’t. God’s love abhors a vacuum. It’s hungry to give. All of heaven is poised to pour life into death, light into darkness, hope into despair, dignity into shame, love into hate, fulness into emptiness.
God’s love wants to fill the places in you that haven’t been filled yet. And he wants to use you to manifest his love all around you. I’m learning to sense it, that divine hunger to give myself away, to give Jesus to others, to love and love and never stop loving.
It’s growing in me, consuming me, shaping me, focusing me.
So good! So God.
