What kind of life are you living?
Personally, I want to live a 10:10 life.
I have a 1:1 calling: I am a servant of Christ Jesus—called, sent, and set apart for the gospel of God (Romans)
I have a 1:2 attitude: I consider it pure joy when I face trials of many kinds (James)
I have a 1:3 blessing: God’s divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness (II Peter)
I serve a 1:4 God: He was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ my Lord (Romans)
I have a 1:5 advisor: When I ask God for wisdom, he gives it generously to me, without exception (James)
I have a 1:6 promise: God began a good work in me and will bring unto completion. (Philippians)
I have a 1:7 spirit: God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self discipline (II Timothy)
I have a 1:8 mouth: I will not let the word of God depart from my mouth; I will meditate on it day and night (Joshua)
I have 1:9 courage: I will be strong and courageous. I will not be terrified. I will not be discouraged, for the Lord my God is with me wherever I go (Joshua)
I pray a 1:10 prayer: I pray I will live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing my knowledge of him (Colossians)
Which means I can live a 10:10 life: The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give me life so I intend to live it to the full (John).
Will you memorize this, or print it up, and speak it out every day with me for the next while? Will you join me in watching God work as we take him and our lives more seriously?
Brad, this is AWESOME! And not merely because in an hour we are meeting with some Jehovah’s Witnesses and this will be a helpful reference for me. It’s creed, mission statement, promise and encouragement all in one and you should see the grin on my face because I know it was inspired. Well done, you.
Thanks sis.
