God spoke something to my heart today that I want to share with you. Given my last few posts, it really touched me. I’ll need to sit in it and let it sink in, but here’s the message:
“The desire of your heart is not so trivial that I can hand it to you in a single weekend.”
Wow.
Let that sink in… How often have I wondered about God’s heart to me, wrestling with disappointments of many sizes, pondering how my many setbacks fit in to God’s “good and perfect” plan for me, those “hope and a future” promises that don’t seem to be panning out right now. I forget so quickly how God’s plans are long term, the marinating sort of future, not the microwave version.
