Man, it’s been a busy week.
I’ve been working on a new preaching series called EPIC, named after John Eldredge’s book by that name. This Sunday I’m going to be telling the story of the Bible.
Okay, that sounds really lame. No, not telling, showing. I’m trying to re-create it, to give everyone in church a visceral experience of the story that will stay with them for a very long time. That will engage the heart.
Because sometimes people hear by seeing. Or see by hearing.
I’m using music, video clips strung together… I’ve probably put 25 hours into the audio-visual element itself. My goal is to have something going on behind me on the screen the entire time, once I introduce the concept.
Pray for me! I’m having a ball, but once I do my thing, the ball is in God’s court.
