I haven’t blogged in about two weeks, so I thought maybe I should explain. It’s like this: Blogging is my last ministry. Here are my life’s ministries, in reverse order:
Fourth and last, my writing (including blogging).
Third, my church (both big church and my Life Group), and our neighbourhood.
Second, my wife Shauna and my precious kids—Noah, Joel, and Glory.
First, myself. “Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of your life.” (Proverbs 4:23). If I don’t take care of myself, I can’t take care of others. Or not for long, at least. It’s difficult to find people who actually get this. I’ve been learning the hard way the past forty years.
Okay. So we’re clear. I’ll post something more later today.
I did wonder how I had missed some writings. Please take care of yourself. It is the most important thing to do other than your family. You are a very wise man.
God bless you.
No need to explain your blogging frequency to me. As long as your priorities are in teh right order, that’s great!
Life is a matter of rhythm. There’s a time and season for everything under the sun. A time for blogging and a time for laying fallow…
Thanks Scott!
Those priorities sound perfectly healthy to me! Thanks for the update!
Funny. I used that very verse as my Facebook status for today…:)
Hmmmm….. great minds…. 🙂
